Using interactive digital tools, our OWLS completed career interest surveys designed to help them discover potential career paths that align with their unique interests and strengths. This valuable exercise helps students identify career fields they might want to explore further, laying the groundwork for more in-depth career research and planning. We believe it's never too early to start thinking about the future, and we're proud to provide our students with these meaningful opportunities for self-discovery and career exploration. Knight SkillsUSA team traveled to Elma to compete in the District SkillsUSA competitions, showcasing their dedication and talent across a variety of events. Our Owls soared to success, bringing home multiple top placements! 🏆 1st Place - American Spirit 👏 Andiana Ziegler, Cloey Fletcher, and Logan Green demonstrated outstanding teamwork, commitment to community service, and citizenship to claim the top spot in this category! 🎤 2nd Place - Extemporaneous Speech 👏 Andiana Ziegler also shined individually, earning 2nd place for her ability to think and speak on the spot with confidence and clarity. 💡 1st Place - Entrepreneurship 👏 Alexandria Stamper, Hayden Hughes, Hayden Roberts, and Bella Buck proved their business acumen, securing 1st place with their entrepreneurial skills and innovative strategies! 🎮 Awaiting Results - 3D Visualization & Animation + Video Game Development 👏 Bleyden Jenkins and Jude Severson represented Mary M. 🎵 Music & Games in 4th Grade! 🎵 Our 4th graders are making music learning fun with an engaging game of Shark Attack! While mastering quarter and eighth notes, students collect Nemo music note cards while navigating challenges like Shark Attacks, Jellyfish encounters, and Schools of Fish. This interactive approach to music notation not only keeps our students engaged but builds essential skills they'll need for recorder lessons in 5th grade. The game reinforces rhythm recognition through clapping or verbal identification, making music theory both accessible and enjoyable. Combined with their ongoing xylophone instruction, these young musicians are developing a strong foundation in sheet music reading.
