Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program (FFVP)
The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) is a USDA initiative designed to provide children in grades K-6 with fresh produce during the school day. This program aims to improve students' nutrition and encourage healthy eating habits by offering free fruits and vegetables in schools. Teachers can incorporate FFVP into their lessons by exploring the benefits of nutrition, engaging students in taste tests, and fostering discussions about healthy food choices. By participating in FFVP, schools not only enhance student health but also promote lifelong healthy habits!
