The school board meeting originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 25th has been rescheduled to Friday, March 27th.
Due to soggy field conditions and persistent rain, today’s HS baseball game at Wishkah has been called off.
But don’t worry — The game has been rescheduled for Wednesday, 4/22! 💪

🎉 BIG NEWS for Mary M. Knight School District! 🎉
We are beyond excited to share that our incredible Food Service Manager, Shantel Freeman, has been selected as 1 of only 30 participants out of hundreds of applicants statewide to join Washington State University Extension’s Consumer Food Safety pilot program: 🍽️ Behind the Tray!
This is a HUGE honor—and a true reflection of Shantel’s dedication, passion, and commitment to excellence in student nutrition and safety. She didn’t just apply… she went above and beyond—and it paid off!
💪 While many will be enjoying Spring Break, Shantel will be rolling up her sleeves and diving into this intensive, multi-day training focused on:
✔️ Food safety & sanitation
✔️ Preventing foodborne illness
✔️ Food processing & supply chains
✔️ Allergen control
✔️ Building a strong food safety culture
…and so much more!
Behind the Tray is a train-the-trainer program, which means Shantel will bring this knowledge back to our district—helping train others, strengthen our practices, and continue improving the quality and safety of the meals we serve every single day.

This Friday, March 13, there will be no school. This date was originally scheduled as a possible snow make-up day, but it is not needed, so school will not be in session.

Education Support Professionals are the backbone of our schools. From paraeducators, secretaries, custodians, bus drivers, food service staff, and so many others — these dedicated individuals keep our schools running and support students every single day. 💙
First recognized in 1975 by Public School Employees of Washington (PSE), this week is about honoring the vital contributions ESPs make in our schools and communities.

Crispy tater tots topped with egg ribbons, bacon, and queso (this plate even has green onions on top) made for a fun and delicious breakfast. Students also had a side of black olives and could choose between our homemade tomatillo salsa or fresh pico de gallo.
Safe to say it was a hit — Kyra Coleman gave it 10,000 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
